L’ Acido ialuronico (SODIUM HYALURONATE) a 2 pesi molecolari è una sostanza presente naturalmente nel nostro organismo, in quanto componente fondamentale dei tessuti connettivi. A livello cutaneo la sua presenza garantisce elasticità, morbidezza, luminosità e idratazione alla pelle del viso e del corpo, e la protegge dai danni provocati da fattori esterni e dallo stress fisico. Con l’aumentare dell’età la produzione endogena di acido ialuronico diminuisce, questo comporta la perdita di capacità di trattenere acqua, il progressivo indebolimento della pelle e la conseguente comparsa di inestetismi e rughe gradualmente più profonde.
Dal punto di vista chimico la struttura reticolare dell’acido ialuronico è tale da renderlo capace di trattenere grandi quantità di acqua, fino a 1000 volte il proprio peso, e di fornire idratazione ai tessuti del corpo umano; agisce come un cuscinetto in grado di trattenere l’umidità, permettendo alla pelle di restare più elastica, tonica, turgida e quindi più giovane. Funge anche da barriera contro la penetrazione di virus e batteri e contribuisce a lenire irritazioni e rossori.
