Aloe Vera

What is Aloe Vera

There are over 200 varieties of Aloe, among which the most commonly used is Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) characterized by fleshy leaves and serrated edges.
This succulent plant, native to Central and Southern Africa, prefers the warm, humid climate of Central America and thrives in the Caribbean area, especially in the Barbados islands. It reaches maturity after 4 years, a period after which the leaves can be cut to obtain both a concentrated juice and a gel intended for skin use.

The benefits of Aloe Vera for the skin

There are several benefits of this plant for the epidermis; if the skin is dry and dehydrated, it is an excellent solution as it deeply hydrates the skin of both the face and hands, as well as the body. A cream based on aloe vera applied to the body after a shower immediately generates a feeling of hydration, elasticity, and radiance.

Aloe is also a perfect remedy for skin imperfections such as acne, blackheads, and pimples because it can accelerate and stimulate the processes of cellular regeneration, thus allowing the skin to repair itself. If the skin is oily, it also counteracts sebum production, eliminating shine.

It is also an effective treatment against skin aging; thanks to its anti-aging action, it can reduce or eliminate signs of skin aging such as wrinkles. Its properties keep the skin toned and elastic.

Aloe vera has antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and soothing properties, thus strengthening the immune system
against the action of pathogens and creating a natural defense for the skin, helping the body to react quickly to skin stress and irritations, promoting the repair processes of signs on the skin and wounds.
