Rosehip Extract

The dog rose or wild rose is a perennial plant belonging to the Rosaceae family, native to Asia and Europe, and widely found in the wild. With a bushy habit, it has a robust root system that keeps it firmly anchored to the ground.

The cosmetic properties of Rose Hip extract

In Natural Cosmetics, rosehip holds a prominent place due to its content of flavonoids, tannins, polyphenols and fatty acids, vitamin A, vitamin E, linoleic acid, which provide an effective antioxidant action.

Our formulations use rosehip extract for its multiple properties:

- regenerating power, able to facilitate the restructuring of tissues in case of scarring or acne lesions, thus accelerating the regeneration time of the epidermal layers, especially due to the presence of vitamin A;

- toning, rosehip oil has elasticizing properties, indicated in case of sunburned skin and dehydrated skin;

- balancing, it is useful in case of impure, combination or oily skin that needs to be normalized;

- antioxidant, thanks to the presence of vitamins A, C and E, rosehip oil is an excellent anti-wrinkle;

- cleansing, it has pronounced cleansing properties, capable of degreasing, cleaning, and hydrating. Rosehip oil is indeed particularly gentle and represents an excellent solution for facial cleansing, even from makeup;

- moisturizing and elasticizing, it can be used as a moisturizer for the skin of the face and body.
