Witch Hazel Extract

The Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana extract) is a plant from the Hamamelidaceae family. Rich in tannins and flavonoids, it has astringent and antihemorrhagic properties. Native to the United States, it has long been cultivated in Europe. Its numerous properties were already known to Native Americans who used it as a healing agent, and later its properties against sunburns became known.

One of the main properties of this plant is its beneficial effect in protecting the venous walls, making products based on Witch Hazel excellent for skin affected by couperose, useful in the treatment of skin spots, in the treatment of acne, in preventing damage caused by free radicals, and as a moisturizer for dry skin. It also has antibiotic properties.
